Twelve people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1028.
Over 60 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October.
809 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 50,000. Over 70 percent of the total cases have occurred since October.
551 people have recovered, 25,876 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 426 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 28 are in intensive care, 9 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (276), Shkodra (88), Elbasan (37), Kruja (30), Saranda (28), Fier (27), Berat (27), Mirdita (24), Lushnja (23), Lezha (22), Kavaja (21), Korça (21), Kuçova (20), Durrës (18), Vlora (18), Has (14), Pogradec (13), Mat (12), Kurbin (10), Dibra (10), Kukës (9), Malësi e Madhe (8), Gjirokastra (8), Tepelena (6), Përmet (6), Devoll (5), Puka (4), Tropoja (4), Mallakastra (4), Skrapar (4), Kolonja (3), Gramsh (3), Peqin (2), Delvina (2), Librazhd (1), and Bulqiza (1).
23,096 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (12327), Fier (1757), Durrës (1410), Korça (1131), Vlora (1147), Shkodra (1207), Elbasan (970), Berat (910), Lezha (871), Gjirokastra (544), Kukës (470), and Dibër (352).
