Tonight, the Municipality of Tirana will set off fireworks from 12 different locations in the city.
The news was announced earlier today by the Municipality
“Everyone will celebrate New Year’s Eve at home so we have found a way to take fireworks to where people’s houses are, where people are. You will see them from your balconies. We will light them at 12 points in Tirana.”
The Municipality has also prepared a concert for the evening which will be recorded and shown on television.
There is a curfew in force tonight from 20:30 and gatherings of more than 10 people are not allowed.
