Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed that the COVID-19 vaccine, that Albania doesn’t have yet, will be free and not mandatory.
“The vaccine that will arrive, it will be free. We will provide support for doctors, teachers, and citizens.”
He added that the worst of the pandemic has passed. Rama gave praise to doctors, nurses, teachers, and Albanians for facing the challenging year we left behind.
“Albania’s teachers, doctors and nurses deserve the greatest respect. We are proud of them. This year has hit the economy hard and work has shaken both the health systems and the strongest.”
Other promises made were the minimum wage being 30,000 ALL per month (EUR 240) and that it would be a good year and the best decade for Albanian history.
“God bless Albania and Albanians,” he said.
