Five people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,261. The victims’ age varies between 76 and 89.
660 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 65,994.
386 people have recovered; 39,246 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 271 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 29 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (250), Vlorë (39), Kurbin (34), Durrës (33), Lushnje (33), Kavajë (26), Krujë (23), Berat (22), Fier (19), Kamëz (17), Sarandë (16), Shkodër (11), Mat (11), Lezhë (10), Ura Vajgurore (10), Librazhd (8), Klos (8), Gramsh (8), Prrenjas (7), Mirditë (6), Shijak (6), Vorë (6), Pogradec (5), Kuçovë (5), Mallakastër (5), Korçë (4), Rrogozhinë (4), Vau Dejës (4), Kukës (3), Divjakë (3), Dibër (3), Skrapar (3), two cases in Elbasan, Tropojë, Belsh, Patos, Cërrik, Poliçan, and one case in Përmet, Delvinë, Tepelenë, Selenicë, Malësi e Madhe, Libohovë.
25,487 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (14720), Fier (1846), Shkodra (1388), Durrës (1390), Lezha (1023), Vlora (1032), Korça (933), Elbasan (966), Berat (827), Dibër (528), Gjirokaster (463), and Kukës (371).
