Albania COVID-19 Update 19 January: 6 Dead, 586 Infections, 594 Recoveries

Six people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,287. The victims’ age varies between 54 and 88.

586 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 68,568.

594 people have recovered; 41,464 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 277 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 21 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (188), Durrës (47), Kavajë (30), Krujë (27), Vlorë (22), Elbasan (21), Shkodër (18), Sarandë (16), Ura Vajgurore (16), Berat (15), Dibër (12), Lushnje (12), Mat (11), Kurbin (10), Lezhë (10), Korçë (9), Kukës (9), Gramsh (9), Librazhd (8), Fier (7), Pogradec (7), Delvinë (7), Belsh (7), Mirditë (6), Tepelenë (6), Bulqizë (6), Mallakastër (5), Patos (5), Divjakë (4), Shijak (4), Skrapar (4), Cerrik (4), Malësi e Madhe (3), Kuçovë (3), two cases in Devoll, Has, Pukë, Tropojë, Gjirokastër, Vau i Dejës, Poliçan, and one case in Rrogozhinë, Peqin, Memaliaj, Vorë.

25,817 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (15014), Fier (1943), Shkodra (1343), Durrës (1428), Lezha (965), Vlora (1036), Korça (866), Elbasan (1044), Berat (804), Dibër (495), Gjirokaster (495), and Kukës (384).
