Albania COVID-19 Update 27 January: 7 Dead, 876 Infections, 503 Recoveries

Seven people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,339. The victims’ age varies between 57 and 87.

876 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 74,567.

503 people have recovered; 45,383 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 280 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 20 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (179), Vlorë (72), Elbasan (59), Durrës (56), Kavajë (45), Shkodër (33), Sarandë (28), Krujë (26), Lezhë (26), Kurbin (26), Fier (22), Kukës (19), Lushnje (18), Shijak (18), Berat (17), Kamëz (17), Gramsh (17), Tepelenë (14), Mirditë (3), Librazhd (12), Mat (10), Delvinë (10), Dibër (10), Vorë (10), Gjirokastër (9), Malësi e Madhe (9), Patos (9), Vau i Dejës (8), Korçë (7), Pogradec (7), Ura Vajgurore (7), Skrapar (7), Mallakastër (6), Peqin (6), Rrogozhinë (5), Tropojë (5), Divjakë (4), Kolonjë (4), Kuçovë (4), Cërrik (4), Poliçan (4), Has (3), Belsh (3), Prrenjas (3), and one case in Përmet, Roskovec, Himarë, Memaliaj, Këlcyrë.

27,845 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (16142), Fier (2089), Durrës (1523), Shkodër (1390), Elbasan (1283), Vlorë (1156), Lezhë (1023),  Korçë (909), Berat (898), Gjirokaster (557), Dibër (440), and Kukës (435).
