Eight people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,358. The victims’ age varies between 46 and 86.
896 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 76,350. This is a record in daily cases in Albania since the beginning of the pandemic, as it has been during the last 4 days due to the increasing numbers of tests administered.
514 people have recovered; 46,420 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 309 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 20 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (306), Durrës (55), Vlorë (54), Elbasan (49), Fier (47), Lushnje (28), Shkodër (26), Kavajë (22), Berat (20), Sarandë (18), Krujë (18), Kurbin (18), Korçë (16), Lezhë (16), Gjirokastër (16), Kukës (15), Kamëz (15), Mat (13) dhe Gramsh (13), Patos (12), Vorë (10), Divjakë (9), Librazhd (9), Prrenjas (7), Mallakastër (7), Mirditë (6), Ura Vajgurore (6), Dibër (6), Kuçovë (6), Pogradec (5), Delvinë (5), Rrogozhinë (5), Tepelenë (4), Vau i Dejës (4), Peqin (4), Belsh (3), Malësi e Madhe (3), Bulqizë (3), two cases in Rroskovec, Skrapar, Cërrik , Poliçan, Këlcyrë, and one case in Devoll, Has, Tropojë, Himarë, Klos, Shijak, Dropull.
28,572 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (16528), Fier (2207), Durrës (1560), Shkodër (1382), Elbasan (1322), Vlorë (1242), Lezhë (1031), Korçë (895), Berat (914), Gjirokaster (589), Dibër (447), and Kukës (455).
