Albania COVID-19 Update 4 February: 14 Deaths, 1052 Infections, 585 Recoveries

Fourteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,418. The victims’ age varies between 56 and 87.

The number of new cases today was 1052, a record since the beginning of the pandemic, during which 81,993 cases have been registered in total.

Those recovered in the last 24-hours are 585 people; 49,543 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 408 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 18 in intensive care, and 4 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (486), Vlorë (73), Durrës (48), Fier (43), Sarandë (35), Shkodër (26), Lushnje (26), Berat (22), Kukës (21), Krujë (20), Elbasan (19), Lezhë (19), Kamëz (17), Kurbin (15), Mallakastër (15), Korçë (11), Gramsh (11), Kuçovë (11), Gjirokastër (10), Delvinë (10), Shijak (9), Mirditë (8), Tepelenë (8), Pogradec (7), Ura Vajgurore (7), Divjakë (6), Dibër (6), Malësi e Madhe (6), Peqin (5), Memaliaj (5), Kavajë (4), Përmet (4), Vau i Dejës (4), three cases in Pukë, Bulqizë, Himarë, Kolonjë, Vorë, Cerrik, Poliçan, Këlcyrë, two cases in Has, Malësi e Madhe, Skrapar, and one case in Devoll, Tropojë, Librazhd, Patos, Dropull.

31,032 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (17657), Fier (2632), Durrës (1718), Shkodër (1531), Vlorë (1528), Elbasan (1393),  Lezhë (1073),  Korçë (997), Berat (947), Gjirokaster (653), Kukës (487), and Dibër (416).
