Albania COVID-19 Update 16 February: 15 Deaths, 801 Infections, 1058 Recoveries

Fifteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,582. The victims’ age varies between 43 and 91.

There were 801 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 94,651.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 1,058 people; 58,794 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 558 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 38 in intensive care, and 16 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (479), Durrës (100), Sarandë (59), Shkodër (18), Fier (16), Elbasan (16), Kuçovë (15), Lushnje (11), Vlorë (8), Kamëz (8), Kukës (5), Kolonjë (5), Krujë (4), Korçë (4), Gjirokastër (4), Dibër (4), Tropojë (3), Përmet (3), Vau i Dejës (3), Vorë (3), two csaes in Kurbin, Devoll, Lezhë, Mirditë, Mallakastër, Librazhd, Pogradec, Delvinë, Tepelenë, Bulqizë, Peqin, Gramsh, Skrapar, Patos, Cerrik, and one case Pukë, Mat, Poliçan. 

34,275 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (20,674), Fier (2,894), Vlorë (1,746), Durrës (1,713), Shkodër (1,474), Elbasan (1,201), Lezhë (1,046), Korçë (993), Berat (981), Gjirokaster (829), Kukës (406), and Dibër (318).
