Albania COVID-19 Update 17 February: 18 Deaths, 1075 Infections, 890 Recoveries

Eighteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,600. The victims’ age varies between 39 and 84.

There were 1,075 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 95,726.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 890 people; 59,684 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 585 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 37 in intensive care, and 12 intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (361), Fier (84), Durrës (71), Vlorë (46), Librazhd (46), Kukës (42), Krujë (36), Kuçovë (36), Elbasan (29), Sarandë (28), Korçë (23), Gjirokastër (23), Shkodër (19), Mallakastër (18), Pogradec (18), Malësi e Madhe (17), Lezhë (16), Kamëz (16), Kurbin (14), Kavajë (11), Berat (10), Peqin (10), Pukë (9), Përmet (9), Gramsh (9), Mirditë (8), Dibër (8), Kolonjë (8), Has (7), Lushnje (6), Vorë (5), Devoll (4), Mat (3), Vau i Dejës (3), Prrenjas (3), Cerrik (3), two cases in Tropojë, Delvinë, Tepelenë, Ura Vajgurore, Bulqizë, Skrapar, and one case Rrogozhinë, Finiq, Patos, Poliçan, Këlcyrë.

34,442 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (20,674), Fier (2,894), Vlorë (1,746), Durrës (1,713), Shkodër (1,474), Elbasan (1,201), Lezhë (1,046), Korçë (993), Berat (981), Gjirokaster (829), Kukës (406), and Dibër (318).
