The Head of the Institute of Public Health Silva Bino has announced the way in which people will be notified of when it’s time to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
In an interview with A2, she said that people will be notified by their family doctor. The vaccination of other groups of the population, ie. not the elderly or healthcare workers, will begin in September 2021. individuals will receive a call from their family doctor when it is their turn. they will also receive a vaccination card which will help them to avoid quarantine when traveling abroad.
Exit News was able to confirm with the Office of the Prime Minister that vaccination of the population is expected to be completed by February 2021 but that there are still struggles underway to get enough doses for the 2.8 million people in the country.
Bino said that the last group to be vaccinated will be those aged between 18-64 years old who do not have any contaminant diseases.
It is not understood how this approach will enable those who do not have a family doctor such as people working away from their home, or foreign residents to receive the vaccine.
