Seventeen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,617. The victims’ age varies between 43 and 79.
There were 1,112 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 96,838.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 991 people; 60,675 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 594 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 36 in intensive care, and 12 intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (392), Kavajë (107), Durrës (86), Vlorë (54), Elbasan (50), Sarandë (43), Fier (40), Tepelenë (40), Berat (39), Mirditë (29), Shkodër (24), Kukës (20), Krujë (18), Lushnje (18), Librazhd (16), Korçë (15), Gjirokastër (13), Kamëz (11), Bulqizë (10), Kuçovë (9), Kurbin (8), Mat (8), Përmet (7), Lezhë (6), Gramsh (5), Pogradec (4), Delvinë (4), Vorë (4), Has (3), Mallakastër (3), Vau Dejës (3), Skrapar (3), Cërrik (3), two cases in Ura Vajgurore, Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, Prrenjas, Kolonjë, and one case in Devoll, Pukë, Rrogozhinë, Tropojë, Divjakë, Selenicë, Shijak, Memaliaj, Patos, Poliçan.
34,546 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (20,973), Fier (2,827), Vlorë (1,802), Durrës (1,782), Shkodër (1,454), Elbasan (1,148), Lezhë (1,005), Korçë (988), Berat (980), Gjirokaster (843), Kukës (420), and Dibër (324).
