Exit News has become a member of the International Press Institute (IPI), represented by Editor-in-Chief Neritan Sejamini and Co-Editors Alice Taylor and Bledar Qalliu.
The IPI was founded in Vienna in October 1950 and now has members in 120 countries. Members include editors and media executives working for some of the world’s most respected media outlets such as The New York Times, The Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, Al Jazeera, BBC, Politico, and Rappler. The Institute also enjoys consultative status with the UN, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe, and is a member of the International Freedom of Expression Exchange.
In October 2006, the IPI received an International Emmy Award for its work in press freedom.
Today, the Institute monitors press and media freedom around the world and responds to any violations of the rights of journalists and media outlets. They engage in advocacy, sending protest letters, offering solidarity, and bringing attention to issues facing media workers. They also take part in press freedom missions to countries where the media is under threat, meeting with journalists, civil society, politicians, diplomats, and NGOS. They also provide legal representation and support in court cases against journalists.
In addition to this, the IPI carries out research and creates publications on press freedom around the world. They also give awards to notable journalists and hold periodic conferences.

Exit.al was founded in 2015 and seeks to explain Albania, tackle the difficult stories, and provide insight, context, and clarity to issues in Albania and the region.
