The third session of the new legislature of the Albanian Parliament convened at 10.00 a.m. today.
Taulant Balla, leader of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, described today’s meeting as a “marathon session,” as Parliament will debate and vote on Prime Minister Rama’s cabinet picks and his program.
After Rama presents both to Parliament, he and his chosen ministers will then answer questions by MPs.
Before the cabinet and the program are submitted to a vote, MPs will get a chance to debate both.
Parliament is expected to vote in the late afternoon.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister’s Office published a copy of the program for his third mandate. The program focuses on “five pillars”: post-earthquake and pandemic reconstruction, citizen welfare, the modernization of the Albanian economy, the family, and a “stronger Albania.”
