Albania and Kosovo will use the same textbooks to teach Albanian to elementary school children starting in 2022.
Called “The Albanian language and Albanian Culture,” the textbook was presented on Friday in a meeting between Albanian and Kosovo ministers.
The textbook is the first among a series of textbooks to be produced by a Joint Commission set up for this purpose.
The Commission is part of larger efforts by the two governments to standardize the teaching of Albanian and the preservation of the language.
A digital edition of the book will also be made available online.
