Over the last week, heavy rain has caused chaos throughout Albania, with many regions suffering from floods and power outages.
In Durres, several neighbourhoods are affected, including the Taulantia Promenade, the train station, and the stadium with several roads reportedly flooded.
Vlora has also been hit with strong winds and big waves impacting the promenade. Authorities said they expect waves of up to two metres high by midday today.
In Elbasan, several roads have been impacted, and the power is off in Prrenjas, Cerrik, Mollas, and Pishaj.
Many villages in Shkoder are without electricity and the road between Shkoder and Theth is blocked by snow.
Meanwhile, in Tirana, heavy traffic has been observed throughout the centre and roads in various neighbourhoods are waterlogged.
Rain is forecast for the rest of the week, which will likely exacerbate the situation further. Several hundred hectares of agricultural land have also been flooded.
Snow is also causing problems in some areas in the north, including Dibra and villages in the municipality of Korce. Several villages have been without power for days, and roads are impassable.
