Albania has condemned the recognition by Russia of two separatist regions in Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk on Monday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision last night prompted statements against the move by the US and European countries, including Albania shortly after the news.
“This unilateral act is a severe violation of international law, the Minsk Protocol, and Ukraine’s territorial integrity and independence,” the Albanian president stated.
The country’s government also condemned the Russian recognition through the same exact message posted by foreign minister Olta Xhaçka.
