The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has requested an urgent conclusion of the visa liberalization issue while meeting with the EU’s chief diplomat Josep Borrell.
Osmani met with Borrell on the sidelines of the UN meting currently taking place in New York. Among other things, Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to peace and stability and to its Euro-Atlantic path.
“Today, in the meeting organized by the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, with the heads of states of the Western Balkans, I emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to peace and stability and to its Euro-Atlantic path, I asked for an urgent conclusion of the issue of visa liberalization and support from EU for overcoming the energy crisis this winter”, Osmani wrote on Facebook.
Kosovo is the only country in the region that is not part of visa-free movement in the Schengen area.
