During a campaign meeting in Durrës, PD leader Lulzim Basha declared that he will not form a government with the PDIU:
The first winner of these elections will be the PD and the opposition, but we’re not bargaining, neither with the Ltd. [LSI] nor with the market stalls [PDIU] that made Albania like a baking tray to which everyone is hurrying. The time is coming to punish those evildoers.
Basha furthermore claimed that the the current elections are between “whomever steals more and robs more in this country. […] They [PS and LSI] have filled Albania with criminals.”
