LSI Sues Rama, Requests Medical Check

Today the LSI filed a lawsuit at the General Prosecution against Prime Minister Edi Rama against the latter’s statements in which he invites the State Police to collect votes for the PS. According to the LSI statement:

Edi Rama violates the law when he invites the police to gather votes for the PS. Rama’s calls for the State Police comprise the most serious infringement upon the law. With this call the prime minister of the country has violated the entire state hierarchy of legal acts. Rama’s calls seriously undercut the morals of the office of a prime minister during the electoral campaign in 25 years. This event and this action contradicts the Constitution and all laws.

The LSI, which is still in a coalition with the PS, emphasizes that Rama has not only violated the constitution, but also recent Decision of the Council of Ministers, approved in the context of the McAllister+ agreement.

Except an investigation into the matter, the LSI has also requested a medical check of Prime Minister Rama to verify whether he is mentally capable of fulfilling the office of prime minister:

These declarations clearly show that he is not mentally stable. If such a psychological shock is the result of panic, for the power of the increase in popular support for the LSI, that is still no reason to be absolved from criminal and political responsibility.

The LSI asked President Bujar Nishani to gather the National Security Council to analyze the illegal actions of the prime minister.
