Yesterday, after finishing the first meeting of the party leadership since the June 25 elections, Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha rejected the creation of fractions within the party, as demanded by Astrit Patozi.
As long as I am in the PD there will be no fraction in the PD, but there will be space for every Democrat to contribute to the shared goal, which is a national goal.
Basha also announced that the PD will start an analysis of the election results and consultations with the party base in order to modernize the PD. A working group as been put in charge of the consultations, which will lead to changes in the party statutes. He also tried to reformulate the PD’s mission against the Rama government:
The PD has no opponents, the PD has only one opponent, this opponent is not simply a person, but is what this person personifies, the alliance of crime and we are against them as alliance of values.
