During a speech in Parliament, opposition leader Lulzim Basha announced that the German Bundestag has decided to place conditions on opening of the EU accession negotiations with Albania.
According to Basha, Albania has not received an outright rejection, but there would be no negotiations “until the conditions are met”:
Accession negotiations will not be really opened, because Albania has not met conditions set by the EU. Rama has not done his homework, and has, instead, lied shamelessly. The verdict would have been much worse if it wasn’t for opposition’s, influence.
In an unprecedented move, the live broadcast of Basha’s speech was stopped and the cellular signal was scrambled in order to obstruct its live streaming on Facebook.
