Despite Besnik Muçi last-ditch effort to delay his dismissal from the Constitutional Court, the website of the highest court of Albania no longer lists him as a member.
Earlier today, Muçi had a meeting with President Meta, who asked Muçi to review his stance as regards his request that the Constitutional Court review his dismissal.
The president announced after the meeting that he was expecting the notification from the Constitutional Court to immediately reannounce this vacancy for applications.
President Meta is reported to have signed a decree later, announcing the vacancy. He is expected to give a press conference at 18:30.
