2 March
Images and Propaganda Exhibition
Europe House, Tirana 6-7pm
Europe House is showcasing an exhibition called EUIMAGE Images and Propaganda: National Stereotypes in Europe from World War I to the Present. The opening night is 2 March and visitors will be able to see a selection of satirical cartoons from the digital archives of newspapers from across the continent. The exhibition wants attendees to question the effects of stereotypes, created in WWI that still affect today.

Albanian Food Tours
Tirana, 9am onwards
Are you curious about Albania’s cuisine, culture or way of life? Albanian Food Tours invites visitors to join their fun experience of discovering this beautiful country through a gastronomic journey. The tour includes five stops and up to 15 food/drink tastings of seasonal and traditional food.
3-4 March
Francophone: International Colloquium of Archaeology
National History Museum, Tirana 9am-5.30pm
The “Illyrians, identities, cross” conference will bring together Albanian, French, Greek and Italian scholars to discuss and present research on Illyria. Drawing on recent archaeological discoveries, Neolithic and Byzantine studies, clarification will be sought on what can be said about Illyria and how it impacted the development of Europe and the Mediterranean.
Annual Forum: Joint Centre for Albania-Serbia Relations
Libraria Tirana Times, 12pm
Supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Annual Forum is an interactive two-day event organised as an international forum gathering speakers and participants from both Albania and Serbia in the context of the Joint Centre for Albania-Serbia relations (www.jcasr.org).
The Forum aims to increase the communication, knowledge and interaction between actors in both countries, Albania and Serbia, which are influential in politics, economic policymaking, media, arts, culture, youth activism, etc. As a result, the Forum aims to help build the networks and working partnerships between the two countries, which will, in turn, contribute to the normalization of their relations as well as to the European integration of both countries and societies.

Meetings in the Italian Library film screening

Franco Lucci is an entrepreneur on the verge of bankruptcy. The salvation of his company hangs on a large public contract that he could obtain thanks to the intervention of a Minister whom he became friends with and whom he invited to dinner. Together with Michele, his partner and brother-in-law, Franco organized the perfect evening: in addition to paying him a substantial bribe, the two let him find a girl willing to go to bed with him. All under the eyes of Rita, Franco’s wife, who tries to indulge her husband in this last desperate attempt to get the millionaire contract and save all their privileges. But because of the girl, the evening takes an unexpected turn.

Kangoo in the park!
Tirana lake park, 11am
Kangoo is an intensive 45-minute cardiovascular workout combining dance, running, and jumping. On Friday morning, free classes will be given near the Multisports Fields in the Lake Park of Tirana. All are welcome!
7 March
International Women’s Day
Techspace, Tirana 6pm-8pm
Women in tech are invited to attend Techspace to celebrate women in the technology field. There will be a number of inspiring speakers, career and technical workshops and networking opportunities. The event is supported by Google, WomenTechmakers Albania, GDG Albania and ICTS Media.
The Sun and the Mother Moon concert
Tirana Amphitheatre, Lake Park 11am-2pm
“The Sun and the Mother Moon” is a festive concert by the children of the NCDC dedicated to the teacher and mother. Songs and dances from the talented children of the National Cultural Center and the young artists of Shake Dance Studio, Art Revolution Dance, Jolie Danse and the Stars of the Future will perform from 11am onwards.
Photography Exhibition “Life Portraits”
National History Museum, 7-8 March
A very special exhibition will be on show at the National History Museum on 7-8 March. “Portret Jete” will look at the lives of 20 Albanian women through the lense of a camera, as soon by famous Albanian photographer Anjeza Dyrmishi.
8 March
Women’s Day March
Police Directorate Rr.Sami Frasheri, 11am
Albanian women and girls will congregate outside the Police Directorate on Rruga Sami Frasheri before marching to the Prime Minister’s Office on the main boulevard. All are welcome and are encouraged to bring placards with slogans and messages on. Starting at 11am.
