A 66-year-old person from Fier has become the 8th person to lose their life to Coronavirus in Albania.
The individual was treated for two days at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tirana. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, they died of a stroke this morning. According to reports, the individual was also suffering with heart disease, hypertension and gastro-intestinal issues, as well as Coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health expresses condolences to the family of the deceased and appeals once again to the citizens to strictly respect the rules of social isolation and distancing and to call the national emergency number 127 if they have signs of illness.
