Albania Coronavirus Update, 29 March: 10 Victims, 212 Infected

The confirmed number of cases of Coronavirus in Albania has reached 212 as of yesterday.

In a press conference yesterday, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mira Rakacolli said that 111 suspected cases had been tested in the last 24 hours, 15 of which were positive.

She also informed the media that seven more people had been cured, including to doctors. This brings the total number of recoveries to 40.

To date, 1436 suspected cases have been tested with 212 confirmed. 10 people have died.

There are currently 76 people in the Infectious Diseases Hospital, six of which are in intensive care, four are intubated. The remaining cases are at home, self-isolating and in a stable condition.

A further update is expected by the Ministry on Monday morning.
