Albania Coronavirus Update, 3 April: 16 Dead, 304 Cases, 89 Cured

27 more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Albania, bringing the total number of infected cases to 304.

This is the highest number of infected cases found in one day in Albania.

Twelve of the newly found infected cases are members of two families in Shkodra, and include a 13 year old.

112 people were tested in the last 24 hours. 2031 people have been tested so far, with 304 confirmed cases. 89 infected patients have recovered, while 16 have died. 77 people are hospitalized, 9 of which are under intensive care, while 2 are intubated.

The rest remain in home in self-isolation and are considered to be in a stable condition.

The average age of those suffering with the disease is 50.

The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: Tirana (146, including 7 deaths), Durrës (32, including 3 deaths), Lushnja (4, including one dead), Elbasan (8), Fier (25, including one dead), Kavaja (8, including two dead), Rrogozhina (2), Korça (16), Vlora (5, including one dead), Shkodra (22), Lezha (1), Berat (1), Has (8, including one dead), Kruja (5), Tropoja (4), Puka (4), Mirdita (2).

All patients who have recovered and have left the hospital will remain isolated in their homes for 14 days.
