British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care at St Thomas Hospital in London due to worsening symptoms of Coronavirus. He was diagnosed with the virus some 12 days ago but was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening as his health deteriorated.
World leaders reacted last night to the news.
US President Donald Trump:
“We are working with London to honor Boris Johnson. He has been a really good friend. He does not give up. We have contacted all of Boris’s doctors… When he goes to intensive care, then the situation becomes very, very serious.”
French President Emmanuel Macron:
“All my thoughts are with Boris Johnson, his family and the British people in these difficult times. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau:
