On Tuesday, the Turkish government donated 6 ambulances to Albania, as part of a grant intended to modernize the county’s civil emergency services.
The ambulances come equipped with first aid equipment, respiratory equipment, intravenous drips, and cardiac monitors, and can hold up to three patients.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the country’s ambulance shortage, these vehicles will also be used by the Trauma Hospital Center, which is where surgical operations have also moved recently.
Prime Minister Rama announced that, as part of this grant, “hundreds of uniforms, tents and equipment that will modernize civil emergency service operations” will soon arrive to the country.
