On Thursday, the United States donated a number of personal protection equipment for medical staff to Albania, as part of the US European Command Humanitarian Assistance program.
Albanian Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu welcomed the donation on a Facebook post, but did not disclose the amount of PPEs donated.
US Ambassador to Albania oversaw the delivery of donations.

The Albanian government has also requested aid in medical equipment from NATO, which has revealed its limited ability to withstand the pandemic. It currently only has 480 dedicated beds for coronavirus patients.
Albania currently has reported 416 coronavirus infected cases, of which 23 have died and 182 have recovered.
