A further 19 cases of Coronavirus have been identified in the country during the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 518.
A 64-year-old woman infected with COVID-19 has died this morning at the Sanatorium Hospital in Tirana.
26 of the infected have recovered, 277 in total.
The 24 new cases were found in Tirana, Shkoder, Fier, Korçe, Kukes, Kavaje, Mallakaster, with six of them being medical staff.
During the previous day, 269 suspected cases were tested, 4827 in total.
There are 43 inpatients at the two hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients in the country; 10 are in intensive care, 3 of them are intubated.
The geographical distribution of cases as of April 16 is as follows: Tirana (241), Durres (42), Lushnje (6), Elbasan (16), Fier (35), Kavaja (9), Rrogozhine (4), Korce (19), Vlore (5), Shkoder (83), Lezhe (14), Berat (2), Has (13), Kruje (7), Tropoje (4), Puke (5), Mirdite (3), Kukes (9), Mallakaster (1).
