As of today, 17 different kinds of retail businesses will be allowed to open in Albania as the country enters phase two of the ease of Coronavirus lockdown measures.
The list, which can be read in full here, includes:
Taxis;
Clothing, textiles, shoes, leather goods stores;
Furniture, appliances, lighting, children’s toys, sports equipment, telecommunications;
Flower and plant shops;
Other speciality stores.
All open businesses must have a Certificate of Open Economic Activity which can be obtained via the e-Albania portal. Businesses may open from 5 am- 5:30 pm. They are also required to adhere to stringent hygiene and social distancing protocols that vary depending on the type of business conducted.
Police will monitor businesses for the implementation of measures and protocols and in any cases of violations, businesses will be fined.
Cafes, restaurants, gyms, swimming pools, cinemas, shopping malls, and other businesses where staff have close contact with customers or there are congregating groups of people, will remain closed.
Authorisation is still required to leave the house and the permit allows two hours between 5 am and 5:30 pm.
