Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Albania during the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 789.
Eugena Tomini from the Institute of Public Health said that during the last day, five cases were confirmed in Tirana, one in Kruja and one in Kukes. Some 171 tests on suspected cases were carried out over that period.
In addition to the 789 confirmed cases, 519 have recovered, 31 have died and 239 are considered active cases. At the moment, 26 cases are hospitalised, six of which are in intensive care.
Tomini said that according to the data, the epidemiological situation in Albania is stable.
The geographical distribution of active patients is as follows: Tirana (90), Shkodra (20), Kruja (89), Fier (1), Kurbin (24), Korce (1), Elbasan (2), Kukes (5), Lezhe (1), Lushnja (1), Mirdite (2), Berat (2), Mat (1).
Despite the fact that from Monday there will be another relief of measures, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on all citizens to continue to respect physical distancing and maintain personal hygiene.
