Director of the Institute of Public Health, Albana Fico has announced 17 new cases of COVID-19 in Albania, confirmed during the last 24 hours.
She said that 38 patients are hospitalized and eight of those are in intensive care.
“As can be seen, there has been an increase in the number of cases in the last 24 hours, not only in the number of cases identified but also in the number of hospitalisations. In the two COVID hospitals we have 38 inpatients, 8 of which are in intensive care.”
Fico appealed to the public to respect social distancing measures, to maintain personal hygiene and for businesses to observe safety protocols.
