For the third day in a row, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 found in the last 24 hours in Albania is four.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 880 cases in all, 78% of which have recovered. There are currently 161 active cases in the country, mainly in Tirana, Kruja and Shkodra.
In terms of hospitalisations, 21 patients are on the wards and only one is in intensive care.
A total of 11578 tests have been carried out in total, 11048 of which are molecular and 530 are serological. 246 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and six patients recovered. One of those currently with COVID-19 is a pregnant woman.
The death toll remains unchanged at 31.
The geographical distribution of active cases is as follows: Tirana (70), Kruja (49), Shkodra (16), Kamza (12), Fier (5), Berat (3), Elbasan (2), Kurbin (1), Mirdita (1), Durres (1), Korca (1).
The Ministry of Health said that while the situation is considered to be stable, it is important that citizens continue to maintain social distancing and hygiene precautions. In addition to this, businesses must implement and maintain security protocols to protect customers.
