Six new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, in Tirana (4) and Shkodra (2).
A total of 14,500 tests have been conducted since the beginning of March. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 1004.
According to the Ministry of Health announcement, 79% of those affected, or 787 people have recovered.
There are currently 16 patients hospitalized with the virus and four are in intensive care.
The eight new cases were found in Tirana and Shkodra and were all contacts of previous cases.
177 cases are still active in the country, mainly in Tirana, Durres, Kruja, and Shkodra.
The geographical distribution of active cases is as follows: Tirana (59), Durrës (53), Kruja (27), Shkoder (12), Berat (10), Kamëz (9), Fier (4), Elbasan (1), Mirdita (1), Korça (1).
