21 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1050.
Over 14,500 tests have been conducted since the beginning of March.
78% of those affected, or 812 people have recovered.
According to the Institute of Public Health, all the new cases have been found in Tirana. 13 of the new infected cases are medical staff and patients at the Mother Teresa Hospital Center, and were infected by a nurse who tested positive two days ago.
There are currently 25 patients hospitalized with the virus and three are in intensive care.
205 cases are still active in the country, mainly in Tirana, Durres, Kruja, and Shkodra.
The geographical distribution of active cases is as follows: Tirana (101), Durrës (51), Kruja (23), Shkodra (12), Berat (6), Kamza (9), Fier (2), Korça (1).
