Albania has dropped two spots in the Global Peace Index 2020 ranking compared to last year. It now ranks 55th in the world and 28 in Europe.
The Global Peace Index ranks 163 independent states and territories according to their level of peacefulness. It is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness. The report presents a comprehensive data-driven analysis on trends in peace, its economic value, and how to develop peaceful societies.
Iceland is the most peaceful country, followed by New Zealand and Portugal. Afghanistan ranks at the end of the list.
At the European level, Iceland and Portugal are followed by Austria.
Kosovo ranks 85th in the world and 35th in Europe.
