48 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1464.
This is the highest number of cases found in a day since the first case in March.
The new cases were found in Tirana (24), Kruja (8), Durres (4), Fier (3), Lezha (2), Puka (2), Kamez (3), Gjirokaster (1), and Elbasan (1).
Over 70 percent of those infected, or 1039 people have recovered.
There are currently 52 patients hospitalized with the virus, 7 are in intensive care, one is intubated.
389 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (220), Shkodra (45), Kruja (40), Kamëz (26), Durres (19), Puka (9), Vlora (6), Lushnja (6), Korca (1), Librazhd (1), Mallakastra (1), Tropoja (2), Mat (2), Lezha (3), Ura Vajgurore (1), Berat (1), Elbasan (4), Gjirokastra (1).
