Kosovo’s former Minister of Finance Besnik Bislimi of Vetevendosje (LVV) has published a poll which shows drastic changes in parliamentary seats for the four largest parties in the country, were the elections to be held now.
It was reportedly conducted by UBO Consulting, and it puts Vetevendosje first with 55 MPs in the 120-seat parliament; a noticeable increase from the 29 seats it got in the last election one year ago.
Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) 19 MPs, five less compared to the current number of seats.
The ruling Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) 18 MPs, ten less than the current 28 MPs.
The ruling Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) 8 MPs, six less than now.
Minority ethnic communities in Kosovo have 20 seats reserved in parliament.
Bislimi said his party should aims at a minimum of 60 seats.
Kosovo’s Acting President Vjosa Osmani is holding consultation meeting with political parties before she decides on a date for snap elections.
On Monday, the Constitutional Court ruled that the current government was voted in violation of the Constitution, and that Kosovo should go to snap elections.
