Albania Coronavirus Update, 1 April: 15 Victims, 67 Cured, 259 Cases

The number of diagnosed cases of Coronavirus in Albania has reached 259 today. This is an increase of 16 new cases in the last 24 hours, following 152 tests on suspected cases.

Institute of Public Health Specialist Silva Bino said work is ongoing to identify new cases and trace the contacts of those who have tested positive.

According to the Ministry, there have been 1823 cases tested so far with 259 confirmed. The average age of those suffering with the disease is 50.

Some 79 patients are at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 7 are in intensive care and 4 are intubated. The rest remain in home in self-isolation and are considered to be in a stable condition.

A total of 15 patients have been cured over the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 67.

Lushnje: 4 cases

Elbasan: 5 cases

Fier: 23 cases

Kavaja: 5 cases

Rrogozhina: 2 cases

Korca: 16 cases

Vlora: 5 cases

Shkodra: 8 cases

Lezha: 5 cases

Berat: 1 case

Has: 2 cases

Kruja: 5 caess

Tropoje: 4 cases

Puka: 3 cases

Mirdita: 2 cases

The Ministry called on citizens to remain at home and to call 127 if they suspect they have any symptoms of Coronavirus.
