4 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 58-year old from Kurbin, a 71-year old from Lushnja, a 61-year old from Durrës, and a 90-year old from Fier succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 161.
120 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 5396, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (57), Durrës (15), Kavaja (8), Kruja (7), Elbasan (6), Korça (5), Kurbin (4), Pogradec (4), Lushnja (3), Tropoja (3), Shkodra (2), Tepelena (2), Vlora (1), Divjaka (1), Belsh (1), and Prrenjas (1).
9 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2961.
2274 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (1251), Durrës (227), Shkodra (211), and Vlora (95).
Approximately 41,000 people have been tested since March, including serological tests.
There are currently 119 patients hospitalized with the virus, 18 are in intensive care, 6 are intubated in aggravated condition.
