90 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3278.
A 81-year old from Shkodra and a 63-year doctor from Elbasan succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 85.
The new cases were found in Tirana (36), Durrës (15), Vlorë (11), Kukës (8), Kruja (8), Kurbin (4), Elbasan (3), Lushnja (2), Lezha (1), Kamza (1) and Dibra (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
1875 people have recovered.
Around 31,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 81 patients hospitalized with the virus, 11 are in intensive care, five are intubated in aggravated condition.
1273 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (529), Durrës (229), Shkodra (169), Vlora (120), Fier (41), Elbasan (34), Korça (32), Lezha (64), Kukës (40), Gjirokastra (18), Berat (24), and Dibra (17).
