Albania Coronavirus Update 13 July: 95 Deaths, 2014 Recovered, 117 New Cases, 1462 Active Cases, 3571 Total Cases

117 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3571.

This is the largest number of infected cases in one day since the beginning of the pandemic.

A 70-year old from Tirana and a 66-year old from Shkodra succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 95.

The new cases were found in Tirana (41), Shkodra (9), Kavaja (9), Korça (7), Puka (6), Lezha (6), Durrës (5), Kurbin (5), Kruja (4), Mirdita (4), Tropoja (4), Fier (3), Kolonja (2), Lushnja (2), Vlora (2), Mat (2), Memaliaj (1), Ura Vajgurore (1), Pogradec (1), Kamza (1), Berat (1), and Elbasan (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

2014 people have recovered.

Around 31,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 85 patients hospitalized with the virus, 10 are in intensive care, four are intubated in aggravated condition.

1462 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Kruja, Vlora, and Durres.
