6 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 62-year old from Tepelena, a 63-year old from Lezha, a 70-year old from Mat, as well as a 73-year old, a 81-year old, and an 82-year old from Tirana, succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 219.
146 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 7117, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (76), Kruja (23), Fier (11), Durrës (7), Kukës (6), Elbasan (5), Shkodra (4), Kurbin (2), Lezha (2), Kamza (2), Malësi e Madhe (2), Has (1), Kavaja (1), Lushnja (1), Puka (1), Tepelena (1), and Bulqiza (1).
79 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3695.
3203 cases are still active in the country, about half of them in Tirana.
Over 47,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 115 patients hospitalized with the virus, 16 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.
