6 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 58-year old from Tepelena, a 71-year old from Durres, as well as 54-year old, a 67-year old, a 70-year old, and another patient from Tirana, succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 225.
143 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 7260, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (45), Durrës (31), Durrës, Korça (17), Shkodra (6), Kruja (6), Vlora (6), Elbasan (4), Lezha (4), Lushnja (4), Tropoja (4), Berat (3), Gjirokastra (3), Kavaja (2), Kukës (1), Mat (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), Prrenjas (1), Memaliaj (1), Klos (1), Gramsh(1), Shijak (1).
51 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3746.
3289 cases are still active in the country, about half of them in Tirana.
Over 49,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 114 patients hospitalized with the virus, 14 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.
