82 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2662.
A 63-year old and a 65-year old from Tirana, as well as a 60-year old from Elbasan succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 69.
The new cases were found in Tirana (30), Shkodra (6), Kavaja (6), Fushë-Arrëz (6), Vlora (5), Kruja (4), Durrës (4), Lushnja (4), Fier (2), Kurbin (2), Korça (2), Berat (2), Dibra (2), Vau i Dejës (2), Elbasan (1), Lezha (1), Has (1), Puka (1), and Rrogozhina (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
1559 people have recovered.
Around 28,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 78 patients hospitalized with the virus, 9 are in intensive care, two are intubated.
1034 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (387), Durrës (203), Shkodra (152), Vlora (110), Fier (51), Elbasan (16), Korça (28), Lezha (45), Kukës (19), Gjirokastra (7), Berat (8), and Dibra (8).
