104 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4570.
In the past 24 hours, a 45-year old, a 77-year old, and a 64-year old from Tirana, as well as a 68-year old from Pogradec, and a 45-year old from Kruja succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 128.
The new cases were found in Tirana (60), Fier (9), Kruja (8), Elbasan (7), Kukes (4), Berat (4), Korca (2), Lezha (2), Pogradec (2), Permet (2), Shkodra (1), Ura Vajgurore (1), Malesi e Madhe (1), and Gramsh (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
2608 people have recovered.
Around 34,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 124 patients hospitalized with the virus, 21 are in intensive care, 11 are intubated in aggravated condition.
1775 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (903), Durrës (215), Shkodra (204), and Vlora (98).
