Albania has reported 34 new cases of coronavirus today, bringing the total to 712. This marks the most infected cases found in a day since March 9.
The number of those recovered has reached 403.
The new cases were found in Kruja (18), Tirana (4), Kukës (6), Kurbin (2), Fier (1), Lushnja (1), Berat (1), and Mat (1).
Kruja is now the third most affected city in Albania, after Tirana and Shkodra. The new infected cases in Kruja and Mat are relatives of workers in two Kruja factories. About 100 infected cases have been traced back to these two factories. The infected cases in Kukës are police officers and one relative of a police officer. The new cases found in Tirana are related to infected prisoners in the city’s high security prison.
So far, 7015 people have been tested.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: Tirana (289), Durres (42), Lushnja (7), Elbasan (18), Fier (37), Kavaja (9), Rrogozhina (4), Korca (19), Vlora (5), Shkoder (103), Lezha (14), Berat (3), Has (14), Kruja (83), Tropoje (4), Puka (5), Mirdita (5), Kukës (18), Mallakastra (1), Kurbin (31), Mat (1).
