Albania Coronavirus Update 25 July: 6 Dead, 29 Recovered, 67 New Cases

67 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4637.

In the past 24 hours, 6 people have died. A 43-year old, a 79-year old, and a 69-year old from Tirana, as well as a 62-year old from Pogradec, a 65-year old from Kruja, and a 56-year old from Kukes succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 134.

The new cases were found in Tirana (56), Durrës (8), Elbasan (2), and Saranda (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

2637 people have recovered.

Around 38,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 115 patients hospitalized with the virus, 21 are in intensive care, 9 are intubated in aggravated condition.

1834 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (941), Durrës (211), Shkodra (202), and Vlora (98).
